Smooth Sgraffito Brooch

The design for this black & white brooch was taken from a mono print drawing I made of fence posts sticking out of a snowy landscape 

The technique used was Sgraffito, where the top surface is drawn into before it’s fired in a hot kiln. The surface is ground down to create a lovely silky smooth finish

The materials are vitreous enamel on copper with a two-pronged stainless steel brooch pin and silver tubing to hold it in place

It measures 50mm x 45mm
