Perforated Pistachio Brooch

This Perforated pistachio coloured brooch is made from vitreous enamel fired onto a delicate piece of copper sheet. The surround is made from oxidised silver sheet, and silver rivets hold everything in place.

The brooch is light weight with a two-pronged brooch pin made from stainless steel, which holds the brooch securely in place, anyway up.

The initial inspiration for this piece started from a pencil rubbing taken from the woven textures of a cane laundry basket. More 'drawings’ into paper were made before working on the copper sheet.

The approximate size of this brooch is approximately 57mm x 62mm x 5mm
