This brooch is made from yellow vitreous enamel which has been fired onto copper sheet. Silver square rivets have been added for decorative effect.
There is a double stainless steel pin to hold it to the fabric it is being worn on, it would suit a dense material.

If being worn on a sweater, I often catch an undergarment beneath it with the brooch-pin, to help prevent any 'sagging' that a looser weave can be prone to.
